The flagship Azimut Grande 44M: a new vision of the modern superyacht

The Azimut shipyard has launched the first Grande 44M yacht, underscoring the success of the strategy that has propelled Azimut to the forefront of the superyacht segment. Today, models over 24 metres in length account for more than two‑thirds of the brand’s production value.

The Grande 44M is the culmination of the shipyard’s long‑standing ambition to redefine the modern superyacht. With seven units already sold, this model showcases technological solutions engineered directly for the owner’s comfort and enhanced onboard lifestyle. Carbon fibre, making up over 50 % of the vessel’s structure, is the cornerstone of the project: reducing the superstructure’s total weight by 8 tonnes has enabled an unprecedented four‑deck architecture. The wheelhouse has been relocated to the fourth deck and seamlessly integrated into the elegant profile designed by Alberto Mancini. As a result, the upper deck is entirely dedicated to the owner’s suite, complete with terraces and unobstructed panoramic views.

The interior doesn’t impose a single use case; instead, it empowers the owner to adapt the space to suit any occasion. For instance, the forward area of the upper deck can be transformed into a dining room for 12, a cinema lounge, or an additional guest salon. In every configuration, the expansive windows dissolve visual boundaries and deliver a breathtaking 180° panorama including sweeping views of the open‑air bow lounge. M²atelier’s design for Azimut exudes a clear, uncompromising style, accentuated by refined, meticulous details.

Aft, a mezzanine deck with a terrace and sea views adds a distinctive touch. This signature feature of the Grande Trideck series has gained even greater iconic status thanks to the pool with a transparent bottom. It creates a captivating play of light in the beach club located one level below.

The Grande 44M embodies the evolution of Azimut’s technological expertise. A key innovation is the Hull Vane®  a stern foil developed in collaboration with the одноимённой company. It reduces the stern wave, generates additional thrust, and lowers hydrodynamic resistance, significantly minimising pitch and roll.

Efficiency is further enhanced by the unique Dual Mode hull, created by Azimut|Benetti together with L. Ausonio Naval Architecture. Combining the attributes of a fast displacement hull in the bow with a semi‑displacement design aft, it optimises fuel consumption across the entire speed range.

Onboard power is supported by 30 m² of solar panels. Thanks to the Mild Hybrid system developed by Azimut|Benetti in partnership with Asea Nautica the yacht can remain at anchor without the generator for up to 3–4 hours during the day and 8–10 hours at night. At a speed of 15 knots, the batteries recharge fully in just two hours.

As a result, the Grande 44M stands as the flagship of Azimut’s eco‑conscious fleet: CO₂ emissions are reduced by up to 30 % compared to traditionally designed yachts of similar size. The world premiere of the model will take place at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.
